Dignitas is a combination Swiss providing services to aid suicide 1 and based in the village of Forch, on the banks of Lake Zurich 2 . She helped Sir Edward Downes , a British conductor, and his wife end their lives in July 2009 3 .
In 2011, fantasy writer Terry Pratchett presents the documentary Choosing to Die . The report follows the last days of Peter Smedley, 71, who chooses assisted suicide with the help of Dignitas. The film shows the conditions in which the person puts his own end to his days. There is also an interview between Terry and the founder of the association, Ludwig Minelli.
