Israel Gutman

Israel Gutman (Hebrew: ישראל גוטמן, May 20, 1923, Warsaw , Poland – October 1, 2013, Jerusalem , Israel ) was an Israeli survivor born in Poland , and historian of the Holocaust . 1


Israel (Yisrael) Gutman was born in Warsaw, Poland. After participating and being injured in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, he was deported to the concentration camps of Majdanek , Auschwitz and Mauthausen . 2
